It provides community-based coalitions with up to 10 years of funding to promote positive youth engagement and address the local conditions that drive youth substance use. Funding through the Veterans' Nonprofit Capital Program is provided for architecture, design, engineering, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or expansion of an eligible facility; and purchase of eligible furnishings or equipment.Application Deadline: Due on May 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.Municipal Parks and Recreation Grant Program (MPR)The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is preparing to launch a new grant program to fund the development and improvement of municipal parks and recreation sites. Funds for the MPR Grant Program are provided by the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022.MPR funding is available for the construction of recreational facilities and other improvements to municipally owned recreational sites and parks. EFC provided an overview of federal and state funding programs, along with technical assistance options. Department of Justice (DOJ) JustGrants Training WebinarsThe DOJ has made a collection of training resources available for JustGrants users. Training materials include self-guided eLearning videos, which are supplemented by job aid reference guides, checklists, and infographics. These resources will help users learn to navigate the system effectively and complete various essential grants management tasks. Small Business ResourcesThe Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region. Since its start in 1984, the expert advisors of the Albany SBDC have worked directly with 28,053 businesses, helping them to invest $543,926,495 in the area's economy, and create or save 15,244 jobs.You can make an appointment for counseling by calling 518-442-7232 or filling out their online form.
