USDA Extends Deadlines for ReConnect Rural Broadband Program - USDA has extended application deadlines for the Rural eConnectivity Pilot Program (ReConnect Program). USDA is pushing back the first application deadline to May 31, 2019, to give potential applicants adequate time to access technical assistance from USDA staff and its partners. The new application deadlines are:

• May 31 for grants;

• June 21 for 50/50 loan/grant combinations; and

• July 12 for low-interest loans.

Applicants can request technical assistance from USDA by filling out the contact form at https://www.usda.gov/reconnect/contact-us.

More information about the ReConnect program may be found at https://reconnect.usda.gov.

NIH SBIR/STTR Program will be joining the InVIsion Tour for remaining dates in Houston, TX; Oakland, CA; New York, NY; and Detroit, MI. The InVision Tour is a national effort of the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to increase the participation of minority business enterprises and minority-serving institutions in Technology Transfer (T2) and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). The mission of this tour is to inform U.S. minorities about the benefits of federal resources and expand opportunities to develop solutions and products of the future. Through federal government collaboration, minority entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, pioneers, thinkers, inventors, and visionaries can learn about technology transfer and how public R&D access can lead to building wealth for their company, community, and the country.

Grants.gov will conduct routine system maintenance on the 3rd weekend of every month (March 16-18). The maintenance window will be Saturday 12:01 AM to 6:00 AM ET the following business day (typically Monday).
