Priority will be given to projects in underserved communities, as well as those offering affordable services like childcare, eldercare, and mental health counseling. The application period for the NY BRICKS capital grant program will open on July 14, 2025 and applications must be submitted by August 15, 2025. Awards are expected to be announced no earlier than November 1, 2025.FY2024 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) and Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S)The SAFER Program provides funding directly to fire departments and volunteer firefighter interest organizations to assist in increasing the number of firefighters.The FP&S Program supports projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. The FY2024 SAFER and FP&S application periods opened May 23 at 9 a.m. ET and will close on THURSDAY July 3 at 5 p.m. ET.First Round of FY 2026 New York State Council on the Arts GrantsThe FY2026 application periods for Support for Organizations, Support for Artists, Support for Targeted Opportunities, and Support for Regrants and Services are now open. This grant opportunity offers essential funding for general operations, artist support, rehearsal space, apprenticeships, and residencies.The deadline to apply is Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 5 p.m. Featured Federal and State Webinars2025 Climate Smart Communities Grants WebinarThe Climate Smart Communities Grant Program provides competitive, 50/50 matching grants to municipalities to conduct climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, including actions that are part of a strategy to achieve Climate Smart Communities certification.
