Interested in Building or Repairing a Home in Rural New York?  USDA Rural Development Seeks Applications for Grants & Loans- Prospective and current homeowners in Amsterdam, NY are now eligible to apply for USDA funding to purchase, build, or repair a home. The Residential Agriculture Discount Program is an electricity rate discount applied to the electricity delivery charge, available September 1, 2014, to eligible National Grid residential agriculture customers, as a result of funding through the New York Power Authority (NYPA) ReCharge New York Program.  Click here for more information.  

 

Grant Writing and Grant Management Tool Kit for Self-Advocates- The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) developed Grant Writing and Grant Management Tool Kit for Self-Advocates to help self-advocacy organizations apply for grants.  The toolkit provides information on how self-advocacy organizations can become more independent and guidance on how to become a tax-exempt non-profit organization (501c3).  Its content is based on feedback from self-advocates who received funding from the ACL Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to administer self-advocacy organizational development grants, which served as pilot projects for federal funding of self-advocacy organizations.

 

Fall National SBIR/STTR Conference- Attention technology entrepreneurs, the Fall National SBIR/STTR Conference (NSC) will take place November 11 - 13 at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, TX.  At this conference, attendees will learn from senior SBIR/STTR leaders and successful small businesses how to compete for SBIR/STTR funding in two dozen federal agencies.  Click here to see the event homepage.
