Congressman Paul Tonko and Congressman John Lewis of Georgia will host a community rally and town hall meeting Friday, July 9th, from Noon-130pm at the Mount Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church at 236 North Pearl Street.

Congressman Paul Tonko and Congressman John Lewis of Georgia will host a community rally and town hall meeting Friday, July 9th, from Noon-130pm at the Mount Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church at 236 North Pearl Street in Albany.

Congressman Lewis, a nationally recognized leader of the American Civil Rights Movement, will discuss his personal history and experience as a Civil Rights leader which continues to guide him in his service to the country as a member of Congress.

Congressman Lewis was first elected to Congress in 1986, and represents Georgia’s 5th Congressional District, which includes the city of Atlanta.

The meeting is open to the public; seating is limited.

Attendees will include children from summer camps throughout the City of Albany.
