Community Project Funding

Fiscal Year 2027 (FY2027) Application Guidelines:

My office is now accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2027 Community Project Funding.

If you are interested in applying for funding for a specific project in NY-20, please fill out the form below.

Please submit your request as soon as possible. The application deadline for all accounts is Monday, March 9th at 6pm.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION:

Please review all the information below to determine if your Community Project Funding proposal meets the criteria for funding before beginning your application.

Once you determine that your project is eligible for funding, please complete the application in its entirety, including the account under which you believe your project is eligible.

All submissions must be made electronically via the form below. PDFs and hard copy requests will NOT be accepted.

Please save a copy of your application in a Word Document prior to submitting your application. My office’s confirmation email will NOT include a copy of your submission.

Due to the highly competitive nature of this process, not all requests for funding will be honored.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

APPLICATION DEADLINE INFORMATION:

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis so please submit your application as soon as possible.

HOW TO SELECT YOUR FUNDING ACCOUNT:

The House Appropriations Committee released guidance for Fiscal Year 2027. Our compiled version for applicants to consult provides detailed information on eligible projects and accounts. You can access that guidance with this linked document. Here you can find examples of projects that have been funded under some of the accounts.

WHO IS ELGIBILE TO RECEIVE FUNDING?:

Local and state governments.

Non-profit entities as described under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Nonprofit entities are extremely restricted this year under the House Republican rules.

For-profit entities are not eligible to apply.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FOR YOUR APPLICATION:

Any entity selected for submission will be asked to provide additional documentation demonstrating community support for your project, including (but not limited to):

Letters of support from area stakeholders and officials

Public records demonstrating community support for your project (e.g., local news articles, resolutions from local governments, records of public hearings, etc.)
