Congressman Paul Tonko and Albany County Executive Mike Breslin will host a celebration marking the 75th birthday of Social Security on Friday, August 13th, starting at 12pm at the Sidney Albert Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Road in Albany. The celebration is free and open to the public.

President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Social Security program into law on August 14, 1935. Congressman Tonko is committed to protecting and strengthening Social Security, while blocking attempts to dismantle it.
