Congressman Paul Tonko and SuperPower will hold a news conference at 11am on Tuesday, August 31st, to announce a major federal grant which will enable the company to collaborate on research and development into technologies that will improve the reliability and efficiency of the electric grid.

Congressman Paul Tonko and SuperPower will hold a news conference at 11am on Tuesday, August 31st, to announce a major federal grant which will enable the company to collaborate on research and development into technologies that will improve the reliability and efficiency of the electric grid. A tour of SuperPower’s facility in Schenectady will follow the announcement.

They will be joined by SuperPower’s partners in the project, which include the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, the Brookhaven National Laboratory, ABB Inc., and the University of Houston.

The event is a continuation of Congressman Tonko’s tour of local manufacturers to discuss the House of Representatives’ agenda to support manufacturing in America and create new jobs.
