Congressman Paul Tonko will host the first meeting of his “Mighty Waters” waterfront development advisory task force on Monday, September 13 from 1pm to 330pm at the Waterford Canal Harbor Welcome Center.
Congressman Tonko created the task force following the “Mighty Waters” conference held in July at Schenectady County Community College to jump start discussions on how best to create a regional plan for waterfront development throughout the Capital Region.
The Mighty Waters Task force is made of up 25 members from around the region, including local businesses, representatives from local colleges, universities and high schools, and federal and state agencies. At this meeting, the task force will create a list of goals and a timetable for action.
