CONGRESSMAN TONKO TO HOST COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS FAIR
SCHENECTADY – Congressman Paul Tonko will host a “Community Connections Fair” on Saturday, May 14 from 10am to 2pm in Elston Hall on the campus of Schenectady County Community College in Schenectady. Congressman Tonko is bringing together 22 agencies from federal, state and municipal agencies as well as local nonprofit service providers from throughout the Capital Region to connect people with assistance they may need – from job hunting and career building, to health care, nutrition services, and housing.
”Our economic difficulties have resulted in an increased demand for services so people can meet their basic needs and get their careers back on track, and we want to connect people with that assistance,” said Congressman Tonko. “These services fill a critical need in our community and it’s important that we let people know what is available.”
Congressman Tonko will be available for media interviews from 1230p-130p.
