Tonko Offices Transition to Serve Constituents Remotely

Physical office locations temporarily close to protect public health; New York and Washington, D.C. staff continue working remotely

AMSTERDAM, NY—Congressman Paul D. Tonko announced today that his offices are serving constituents remotely in order to protect public health and address the spread of coronavirus.

Staff members have worked remotely since last Friday. They will continue to address the needs of constituents, including federal casework issues, meeting requests (which will be conducted via telephone), legislative suggestions and more. This announcement applies to the Washington, D.C. office as well as the district offices in Albany, Amsterdam and Schenectady.

Phone lines for the DC office at (202) 225-5076 and Albany office at (518) 465-0700 remain available for constituents to contact staff, along with requests made through the website via Tonko.house.gov/contact. Calls will continue to be answered, messages returned and constituent correspondence responded to in the same timely manner.

“Ensuring the health and safety of those in our Capital Region and beyond remains my number one priority,” Congressman Tonko said. “Despite the coronavirus outbreak, my staff and I remain ready and available to serve our constituents with any questions, concerns or casework issues that arise. During these extraordinary times, I encourage everyone to treat this public health emergency with the seriousness it demands and adhere to the recommendations of CDC along with state and local officials.”
