“This massive injection of federal dollars from the FAA will allow Albany International Airport to acquire an aircraft rescue vehicle and will allow important infrastructure upgrades to make the airport safer, more modern and more efficient,” said Senator Schumer. “This job-creating infrastructure work will ensure that Albany International can continue to serve business and leisure travel and will help boost the area’s economy.”

“Investing in our transportation infrastructure is one of the most effective ways to spark new economic growth” Senator Gillibrand said. “These federal resources for Albany International Airport will help improve safety and service, keep more flights on time for families and businesses, and help keep the Capital Region economy on the move.”

"This is a big win for Albany International. Our local airports are huge drivers of the local economy, and ensuring that they have the tools they need to provide safe and convenient travel to the business community and leisure travelers is critical to achieve the economic growth that we are all working toward in our region. I applaud John O’Donnell and his team at Albany International for the important work they do each and every day,” said Congressman Tonko.
