Tonko to Spend Super Bowl Sunday Serving the Needy

Congressman Paul Tonko will spend his fourth consecutive Super Bowl Sunday volunteering with community organizations to serve meals to the needy.

Congressman Paul Tonko will spend his fourth consecutive Super Bowl Sunday volunteering with community organizations to serve meals to the needy.

“Super Bowl Sunday is often a time where family and friends gather together to watch the big game. But it’s also a time to remember those among us who are less fortunate and in need of help,” said Congressman Tonko. “What is truly a uniquely American tradition is caring for our neighbors at a time when they need it the most – struggling with unemployment, hunger, homelessness and loneliness. The Super Bowl comes and goes, but our call to service and compassion endures day in and day out.”

Congressman Tonko will visit two organizations in the Capital Region to help serve meals to the hungry and homeless:

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

City Mission of Schenectady

425 Hamilton Street

Schenectady, NY 12305

7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Capital City Rescue Mission

259 South Pearl Street

Albany, NY 12210
