Congressman Paul Tonko will spend his sixth consecutive Super Bowl Sunday volunteering with community organizations to serve meals to the needy.

“Super Bowl Sunday is often a time where family and friends gather together to watch the big game. But, just like any other Sunday, it’s also a time to remember those among us who are less fortunate and in need of help,” said Congressman Tonko. “What is truly a uniquely American tradition is caring for our neighbors at a time when they need it the most – struggling with unemployment, hunger, homelessness and loneliness. Trophies and touchdowns come and go, but our call to service and compassion toward our fellow man endures day in and day out.”

Congressman Tonko will visit the following locations Sunday night to help serve meals to the hungry and homeless:

4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
City Mission of Schenectady
512 Smith Street
Schenectady, NY 12305

6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Albany Rescue Mission
259 South Pearl Street
Albany, NY 12202

Saturday, Tonko will make stops at the Stillwater United Church Breakfast, the Shen Team 20 Robot Build Day, Saratoga Chowderfest, the 2016 Chinese New Year Celebration in Albany, and the Albany City Winter Guard Home Show.
