WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Paul D. Tonko (NY-20) today announced his selection of 15 community development and improvement projects that he has submitted to the House Committee on Appropriations in an effort to bring federal investment to the Capital Region through the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Community Project Funding process.
“With a combination of visionary leadership and sound investment, we can unleash untold potential all across our Capital Region in ways that will support our residents, revitalize our communities, and strengthen our businesses,” Congressman Tonko said. “Through a rigorous application process, my staff and I painstakingly selected 15 projects out of the dozens of strong applicants that will bolster and strengthen our region. My heartfelt thanks to the dedicated local leaders who proposed and developed these deserving projects. I’m eager to go to bat for these worthy projects and work to bring these federal dollars home.”
Under guidelines issued by the Appropriations Committee, each Representative may request funding for up to 15 projects in their community for FY2025. Projects are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are permitted to receive funding.
