I’m joined by disability rights advocate Julie Farrar ahead of the President’s Joint Address, where we’re making clear the impact the massive and devastating cuts that Republicans are seeking will have on our communities.

The actions by Musk and DOGE to gut our federal workforce do not save money or boost efficiency. They remove the very experts who keep our communities safe and healthy. I'll continue to stand against these cruel cuts and support our dedicated public servants in any way possible.

Republican budget cuts will leave millions of Americans in the lurch without needed access to care—Americans like Joan from New York, who has lived with emphysema for over 20 years, and who calls Medicaid a “life-saver.”

With their budget, Republicans would destroy the programs that millions rely on for basic needs. Taking from Americans who are struggling to pay their energy bills, put food on their tables, and see a doctor—all to bankroll tax breaks for the rich—is a heartless betrayal.

In the past two weeks, a series of executive actions have directly targeted the LGBTQ+ community, attacking fundamental rights, fueling division, and ignoring reality. I will fight these actions with everything I have—because equality, dignity, and justice are non-negotiable.
