Tonko Urges Eligible Taxpayers to Take Advantage of EITC Tax Benefits

CAPITAL REGION – On the 10th annual Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day, Congressman Paul Tonko (NY-20) urged taxpayers to check their eligibility to take advantage of the EITC. In New York’s 20th Congressional District, almost 50,000 individuals saved more than $105 million using the credit in tax year 2013. Taxpayers can check their EITC eligibility with the IRS’s EITC Assistant.

Tonko Asks Director of Drug Policy to Host Forum in Upstate New York

Tonko Supports House Bill to Fund Government, Enhance Priorities

Congressman Paul Tonko (NY-20) today voted in favor of H.R. 2029, a bill to fund the federal government through the 2016 fiscal year. The bipartisan bill passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 316-113 and is expected to be taken up by the United States Senate later today.
